Shipping policy
1. Overview
We aim to provide reliable and transparent delivery for all orders placed through our online store. This Shipping Policy outlines how shipping fees are calculated, how deliveries are handled, and what your rights are under South African law.
2. Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are charged directly based on courier pricing, and will vary depending on:
- Delivery distance,
- Whether the shipment is local, regional, or national,
- The size and weight of the parcel.
Local deliveries (within the same metropolitan area) are generally cheaper than national deliveries due to shorter distances and reduced courier handling.
Shipping costs are always displayed at checkout before payment is made.
3. Order Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days after payment is received.
Processing may be delayed during peak periods, promotions, or public holidays.
4. Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times are:
- Local: 1–3 business days
- Regional: 2–4 business days
- National: 3–7 business days
These estimates are guidelines only and may vary due to courier delays, load‑shedding impacts, or other external factors.
5. Delivery Responsibility & Legal Compliance
Under South African e‑commerce law, suppliers must provide clear information regarding delivery timeframes and shipping costs, and ensure the customer receives the goods ordered.
Once your parcel is handed over to the courier:
- Risk transfers to the courier in accordance with standard courier terms.
- You will receive tracking information where available.
- You may contact us if the courier experiences service issues, and we will assist in resolving them.
6. Failed Deliveries & Address Issues
If a delivery fails due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer:
- Additional courier fees may apply for re‑delivery.
- The customer will be responsible for any extra charges.
If a delivery fails due to courier error, we will assist in resolving the issue at no additional cost to you.
7. Damaged or Missing Parcels
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, or if items are missing:
- Report the issue to us within 48 hours of receiving the parcel.
- Provide photos of the packaging and the product condition.
- We will investigate and resolve the matter in line with consumer protection laws.
Defective products are handled according to our Returns & Refunds Policy.
8. Customer Rights Under South African Law
In accordance with South African consumer legislation:
- Online transactions must provide clear delivery information.
- You have the right to receive the goods within the agreed timeframe, or within a reasonable period if no timeframe was specified.
- You may cancel an order before dispatch by contacting us directly.
- Certain electronic transactions may be eligible for a cooling‑off period under ECTA (where applicable).
9. Changes to Shipping Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. Updates will apply once published on our website.
